Alberta Health Services seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Operating Room Technician role at High Prairie Health Complex. The LPN will join an interprofessional team to deliver safe, patient- and family-centered care in a Combined Surgical Services/Operating Room setting.

Required are a completed LPN program, active CLHA registration, BCLS-HCP, and perioperative certification, plus ACLS, PALS, and ORNAC membership. Regular PT, 0.63 FTE, with shifts per rotation.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program.
• Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the CLHA.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• Perioperative Nursing Certification is required.
• Advanced Practice Perioperative authorization with CLHA.
• Minimum of two years of OR/post-anesthesia recovery room experience in the last five years.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Membership with ORNAC.

Required Qualifications:

Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of two (2) year of experience within the last five (5) years in the operating room and/or post-anesthesia recovery room. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Membership with Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC).
