Russell Tobin is recruiting a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Operating Room experience for a travel contract in White Rock, British Columbia. You will work alongside surgeons and perioperative teams to deliver safe patient care before, during, and after surgeries.

The role offers full-time hours with day, evening, and night shifts, in a fast-paced OR setting. Compensation ranges CAD $38–$50 per hour, with facility-provided accommodation and paid travel time.

Qualifications

• Active LPN registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) experience.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Perioperative or surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies for procedures.
• Assist the surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment throughout operations.
• Support patient positioning, preparation, and transfer according to surgical and safety protocols.
• Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively and report changes in condition to the care team.
• Perform documentation related to patient care, surgical procedures, and equipment usage.
• Adhere to infection prevention, sterilization, and workplace safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, Registered Nurses, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, professional standards, and best practices in perioperative care.
