Job summary

Northern Health in British Columbia invites applications for a Licensed Practical Nurse to apply the Nursing Process, perform assessments, plan and provide nursing care, and possibly direct other staff in a team-based setting.

The LPN will contribute to client and family-centered care by supporting patients to achieve and maintain optimal health, adhering to BCCNM standards and organizational policies. Shift rotations include days and nights, 07:00–19:00 and 19:00–07:00, rotating.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Clinical Supervisor or designate, the Licensed Practical Nurse applies Nursing Process, performs assessments, plans, provides nursing care, and may provide direction to other staff.

The LPN operates in accordance with the expected competencies within the Entry to Practice Competencies, Scope of Practice and Standards of Practice as outlined by BCCNM, as well as within a client and family centered care model and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols.

The LPN will support clients and families to achieve and maintain optimal health by performing the following duties and responsibilities.
