Job summary

Northern Health - BC is seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse to join Rotary Manor in delivering compassionate patient care. Under supervision, the LPN applies the Nursing Process, conducts assessments, plans and provides nursing care while guiding other staff as needed.

The LPN adheres to BCCNM standards and the facility’s policies, contributing to client and family centered care and optimal health outcomes according to organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with BC College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
• Demonstrated competence in applying the Nursing Process and client-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, develop care plans, and deliver nursing care.
• Provide direction to other staff as needed to support patient care.
• Operate in compliance with BCCNM standards and organizational policies; participate in rotation shifts.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Clinical Supervisor or designate, the Licensed Practical Nurse applies Nursing Process, performs assessments, plans, provides nursing care, and may provide direction to other staff.

The LPN operates in accordance with the expected competencies within the Entry to Practice Competencies, Scope of Practice and Standards of Practice as outlined by BCCNM, as well as within a client and family centered care model and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols.

The LPN will support clients and families to achieve and maintain optimal health by performing the following duties and responsibilities.

Days, Nights, 07:00 to 15:00, 23:00 to 07:00 (rotating)
