About The Job

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols
  
  

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 06:45 to 15:00, 14:45 to 23:00, 22:45 to 07:00 hours.

Durand Manor, located in Golden, embodies a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. The facility is attached to Golden and District Hospital and houses 26 residential beds,2 short term stay beds, 2 dining centers, resident lounge, bathing facilities, and an activity room. We have a washer and dryer on site for personal laundry as well as outdoor courtyards complete with flower gardens for our residents to enjoy. The activity department provides planned activities and outings for residents and we also have adult day programs offered 3 days per week.
