Position Overview

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) applies the nursing process to support clients, residents, and patients in achieving and maintaining optimum health within a people‑centered care approach across various settings including Acute, Transitional, Personal Care Home (PCH), Primary Care, Public Health‑Healthy Living, and Home Care. The LPN performs within the full scope of practice, engages in ongoing education, and maintains competency in accordance with Southern Health‑Santé Sud policies and professional standards.

• Current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute, Transitional, PCH, Primary Care, Public Health‑Healthy Living, Home Care).
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) certification.
• Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC) certification.

Certification / Permis d’Exercice / Enregistrement (French)

• Membre en règle du College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
• Certification en réanimation cardiorespiratoire de base pour soins actifs, transitoires, foyers de soins personnels, soins de santé primaires, santé publique‑vie saine, soins à domicile.
• Certification en technique spécialisée de réanimation cardio‑respiratoire en règle.
• Certification en Échelle canadienne de triage et de gravité (ETG) en règle.
• Certification en formation de soins infirmiers en traumatologie.

Physical Requirements
