Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Kamloops, BC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse who will provide compassionate nursing care in our communities, work within established policy and physician orders, and support residents with dignity, autonomy and personalized plans of care.

The successful candidate will hold a Diploma in Practical Nursing, be registered with the College of Nurses BC, complete RAI MDS certification annually, maintain CPR/First Aid, and pass Vulnerable Sector and Criminal Records

Qualifications

• Diploma in Practical Nursing (LPN) required.
• Registration with the College of Nurses BC as an LPN.
• Annual completion of RAI MDS certification as per AIS requirements.
• Current First Aid with CPR.
• Successful completion of Vulnerable Sector Check (Ontario applicants).
• Successful Criminal Records Check (BC applicants).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per policy, physician orders and resident plan of care.
• Manage drug and narcotics control and safety per shifts.
• Create a respectful, private and autonomous care environment for residents.
• Collaborate with RNs and the interprofessional team to deliver optimal care.
• Document priorities, dates and strategies on resident care plans.
• Engage with residents and families to support ongoing assessment and care updates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
