Job summary

Advantage Assist is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to join Garneau Hall Seniors Community in Edmonton. The role offers casual hours with an hourly rate of $29.15–$39.89 and shift premiums for evenings, nights, and weekends.

You will deliver skilled nursing support and mentor Health Care Aides in a warm, resident-focused setting. Join a company dedicated to compassionate senior care with ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a recognized Licensed Practical Nurse program.
• Active, unrestricted registration with CLHA.
• Current CPR/BCLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Experience in seniors care is an asset.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong commitment to person-centered care and teamwork.
• Critical thinking, sound judgment, and a compassionate, professional presence.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care such as administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and completing treatments.
• Assess and monitor residents with complex health needs.
• Lead and guide Health Care Aides in delivering high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external care providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safe, evidence-informed care.
• Support residents and families in understanding care procedures and treatment plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold confidentiality.
• Practice within full scope as defined by CLHA standards and facility policies.
