Job summary

Advantage Assist in Edmonton is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join Garneau Hall Seniors Community. This on-site role provides direct nursing care to residents and supports the care team in a warm, respectful environment.

You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, lead Health Care Aides, and engage with residents and families to ensure comfort and dignity, while adhering to CLHA standards and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a recognized LPN program.
• Active, unrestricted CLHA registration.
• Current CPR/BCLS certification.
• Experience in seniors care is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Assess residents with complex health needs.
• Lead Health Care Aides in delivering care.
• Communicate with residents, families, and external providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and evidence-informed care.

Hourly Rate: $29.15 - $39.89

What You'll Do

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you'll be an integral part of our care team, delivering skilled nursing support and helping residents live with comfort and dignity:

• Provide direct nursing care such as administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and completing treatments
• Assess and monitor residents with complex health needs
• Lead and guide Health Care Aides in delivering high-quality care
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external care providers
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safe, evidence-informed care
• Support residents and families in understanding care procedures and treatment plans
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold confidentiality
• Practice within full scope as defined by CLHA standards and facility policies

What You Bring:

• A diploma from a recognized Licensed Practical Nurse program
• Active, unrestricted registration with CLHA
• Current CPR/BCLS certification for healthcare providers
• Experience in seniors care or gerontology is an asset
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• A strong commitment to person-centered care and teamwork
• Critical thinking, sound judgment, and a compassionate, professional presence
