Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Casual/Relief Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Myron Thompson Health Centre in Sundre, Alberta. You will provide patient- and family-centred care across Long Term Care, Acute Care, and Emergency units, working within the CLPNA scope of practice and with an interprofessional team.

Requirements include an accredited LPN program, active or eligible CLPNA registration, and current BCLS-HCP. IV therapy/IV meds are assets; rural nursing experience is a plus.

This position is a combination of full scope of practice to clients on LTC, AC and ED units in the Myron Thompson Health Centre. Duties and responsibilities are within the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) scope of practice and in collaboration with the interpersonal team. Rural nursing experience is an asset. The Myron Thompson Health Centre is an intimate team environment providing care with 14 acute care beds, 5 long term care beds, 3 flex beds and a five-stretcher emergency department. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. Required Qualifications:
