Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Milk River, Alberta, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Long Term Care team and provide patient- and family-centred care in a rural community.

You will be part of an interprofessional health care team, following nursing processes and standards to ensure safe, high-quality care in a 0.57 FTE position with rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends).

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• As Required.

• Provide safe, high quality, patient- and family-centred care within an interprofessional team.
• Follow nursing processes, apply clinical standards, and reflect on quality and safety.

An exciting opportunity exists to provide healthcare in a rural community as a Registered Nurse in Milk River, Alberta. The Town of Milk River (population about 825) is located about 300 kilometers southeast of Calgary and about an hour southeast of Lethbridge.
