Responsibilities

Duties

1. Provides support to the Nurse Case Management section, assessing patient and family needs, monitoring health status, documenting observations, and collaborating with healthcare team members. Educates patients on case management and medical care, recognizing implications of health conditions on medical readiness and retention.
2. Assists with administrative tasks such as maintaining files, scheduling, data entry, and report preparation. Coordinates with various healthcare and administrative units to ensure comprehensive patient care and documentation.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Requirement for a Practical Nurse/Vocational Nurse: Current licensure as a practical or vocational nurse in the US or application for such licensure. Candidates must provide proof of licensure or application status.

Experience required: At least one year of nursing experience in a clinical setting, performing duties such as vital signs measurement, medication administration, sterile procedures, and patient care. Experience should be typical of a GS-05 level position.
