Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton, within Pediatric Cardiology and GI units. You will provide safe, high‑quality nursing care, observe and document patient status, and support families with education and guidance.

This Regular Part Time role (FTE 0.81) covers days, evenings, nights and weekends, with a shift pattern that supports pediatric cardiac care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications

• A minimum 3+ years Pediatric Cardiology/GI experience required.
• Successfully pass the Stollery Pre-hire Interview Medication Administration Exam.
• Successfully pass the Stollery Medication Administration Exam with 90% or greater completed during orientation.
• Successfully pass the Stollery PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization) course– completed during orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Pediatric Cardiology experience is preferred.
• Computer experience is preferred.
