Job summary

CHARM Fertility in Oakville is seeking a Licensed Clinical Assistant to join our patient-centered team. You will work with physicians, Fertility Nurses, Sonographers, Lab Technicians, Medical Office Administrators, and the full healthcare team to provide personalized, compassionate care to our fertility patients.

The Physician Assistant will integrate medical knowledge, patient education, and care coordination, while supporting both initial assessments and ongoing fertility treatments.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical setting.
• Demonstrated patient-centered approach with empathy and trust.
• Willingness to travel between clinic locations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient fertility histories.
• Perform clinical assessments.
• Conduct in-person and virtual patient follow-ups.
• Review laboratory, ultrasound and diagnostic results and convey results to the supervising doctor.
• Communicate physician-approved treatment plans and results to patients.
• Participate in fertility cycle monitoring and follow-up.
• Provide patient education regarding fertility treatment, medications and procedures.
• Administer medications when appropriately authorized.
• Prescribe medications only through physician delegation under a direct order or approved medical directive.
• Perform delegated acts only when appropriately delegated by an authorized physician.
• Document assessments, delegated care, treatment instructions and follow-up in the EMR
• Assist with clinical procedures when appropriately trained, competent and authorized.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Assistant to join our growing team. This role reports directly to the Medical Director and will work primarily out of our Oakville clinic, with flexibility to provide occasional coverage at our Etobicoke or Brampton locations as required.

In this position, you will work collaboratively with Physicians, Fertility Nurses, Sonographers, Lab Technicians, Medical Office Administrators, and the full healthcare team to provide personalized, compassionate care to our fertility patients. The Physician Assistant will integrate medical knowledge, patient education, and care coordination, while supporting both initial assessments and ongoing fertility treatments.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient medical and fertility histories.
• Perform Clinical Assessments
• Conduct appropriate in-person and virtual patient follow-ups.
• Review laboratory, ultrasound and diagnostic results, convey results to the supervising doctor.

• Identify and escape abnormal, critical or unexpected findings to the supervising physician.
  
• Document assessments, delegated care, treatment instructions and follow-up in the EMR
• Assist with clinical procedures when appropriately trained, competent and authorized.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical setting.
• Demonstrated patient-centered approach with a focus on empathy, education, and trust.
• Prior experience in fertility, OB/GYN, or women's health is an asset, but not required.
• Willingness to travel between clinic locations when necessary.
