Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare in Markham, Ontario is seeking a licensed Registered Pharmacy Technician to assist with the full scope of practice under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring accurate dispensing and safe patient care.

The role includes entering prescriptions into Kroll, managing repeat medications, maintaining records, assisting with compounding and labeling, and supporting QA activities and inventory management in a busy community setting.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certificate/Diploma from an accredited institution is required.
• Licensed and in good standing with Provincial College of Pharmacists.
• Experience in a busy community or specialty pharmacy setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in maintaining laws, standards and P&Ps to full scope.
• Enter prescriptions into Kroll and fill/bill as needed.
• Schedule patients for repeat medications and maintain records.
• Prepare compounding sheets and assist with infusion pumps and labeling.
• Receive verbal prescriptions and provide transfers where permitted.
• Package and dispense medications after pharmacist verification.
• Maintain inventory, review expiries and rotate stock.
• Support QA activities and collaborate with stakeholders.
