Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in London, Ontario is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing prescriptions and pharmacy services within a community store. You will prepare and adjudicate prescriptions, enter data, and maintain confidentiality while delivering superior customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Registered with the provincial licensing college and a Diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College are required; the role offers flexible schedules, discount programs, and ongoing online

Qualifications

• Registered with the corresponding provincial licensing college.
• Diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College.

Responsibilities

• Greet customer promptly and gather prescription information according to Standards.
• Accurate dispensing prescription medications and assist with third party adjudication.
• Adjudicate third party billing, online and manage manual Third-Party Accounts.
• Assist in prescription preparation to company’s standards and professional services.
• Data entry for new prescriptions and managing refill request processing.
• Answer telephone and refer to a pharmacist when necessary.
• Maintain and cash out the cash register in the dispensary.
• Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy requirements.
