Job summary

London Drugs is hiring Regulated Pharmacy Technicians to join our western Canada pharmacy team. You will assist Pharmacists, manage prescriptions, deliver customer service, answer calls, and support daily operations in a fast-paced setting.

Regulated Pharmacy Technician programs must be completed and you must be registered with the College of Pharmacists in the province of employment. We offer advancement, benefits (RRSP matching, medical, dental, vision) and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Completion of national and provincial Regulated Pharmacy Technician programs.
• Registration with the College of Pharmacists in the province of employment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; accuracy under pressure.
• Experience in retail pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists and Pharmacy Manager with daily operations.
• Provide customer service and handle telephone inquiries.
• Operate pharmacy computer and process prescriptions.
• Assist in ordering and receiving drug orders and manage inventory.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy area.

Regulated Pharmacy Technician

You will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Manager with daily operations of the Pharmacy Department. Duties will include customer service, telephone inquiries and general housekeeping duties. Additionally, you will operate the pharmacy computer and assist in the processing of prescriptions and preparation of prescriptions. Other responsibilities will include involvement of ordering and receiving drug orders and management of the pharmacy department inventory. Regulated pharmacy technicians must have completed all required national and provincial Regulated Pharmacy Technician programs and passed the exams. Regulated Pharmacy Technicians must also be registered with the respective College of Pharmacy in the province of employment.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Registration with the College of Pharmacists (in the province of employment) is mandatory.
• Good interpersonal skills when dealing with clients, staff, & management.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self‑starter with a high level of enthusiasm.
• Ability to relate to all levels of customers and their needs.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure in a very fast paced environment
• Ability to work as a team player and have a team approach.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience preferable.
