Job summary

GFL Environmental - Solid Division in Timmins, Ontario is seeking a 310T licensed mechanic to join our growing team. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment under limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Licensed mechanic (Ontario 310T) preferred.
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic, suspension systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect and diagnose electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems.
• Use vehicle computer electronics to diagnose failures.
• Estimate time and material costs and requisition parts.
• Work within standard repair times and handle emergency service calls.
• Perform safety checks and complete paperwork in fleet software.

As a GFL Mechanic, you will beworking under limited supervision and selects from written instructions andestablished procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. You will performpreventive maintenance services; inspect diagnosis and repair vehicles andequipment. Salary range $105k - $137k.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs repairs and assignedpreventive maintenance services.
• Performs inspection, diagnosisand repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems onvehicles and equipment.
• Utilizes vehicle computerelectronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assignrepairs.
• Estimates time and materialcosts on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts.
• Performs all work withinStandard Repair Times (SRTs).
• Performs service calls foremergency breakdowns.
• Conducts safety checks onvehicles and equipment.
• Completes required paperworkutilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairingvehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
