Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Saskatoon, SK is seeking an experienced and licensed technician to diagnose, overhaul, adjust and repair all series of motor truck and trailer equipment. You will work with minimal supervision on a variety of tasks, including major component repairs and diagnostics.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance
  • Must possess respective Provincial License such as Red Seal/310T
  • Must maintain membership/registration with respective Government Agencies
  • Current driver's license class D or class 3 with air brake certification required or ability to obtain it within 6 months of being hired
  • Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade including welding equipment and diagnostic tools
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance services at all levels
  • Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order
  • Maintain work area appearance and safety
  • Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or ensure proper operation
  • Use hand and power tools to service equipment
  • Inspect brake systems, steering and wheel bearings for proper operation
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and lubrication
  • Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances per factory specs
  • Specialize in repair of major components (engine, transmissions, differentials)
  • Collaborate with supervisor on additional tasks
