Job summary

Quadra Dental Centre, located in Victoria, BC, is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists in delivering high-quality patient care. The position offers a clean, well-equipped practice environment with a schedule of Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Ideal candidates are registered or certified with the provincial regulatory body and have prior dental assisting experience. Wage ranges from $31 to $36 per hour, commensurate with skills, experience, and location.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

Education
