Job summary

Academy Dental, part of Passion Dental Group in Victoria, BC, is hiring a Dental Assistant to join a supportive team. You will chairside assist, sterilize rooms, educate patients, and manage records. If certified, you may take X-rays and support front desk duties in a collaborative clinic.

New graduates are welcome. The position offers full-time hours, a wage of $35.00-$40.00 per hour, and benefits including on-site parking, CE support, a signing bonus, and a family-friendly, patient-centered

What You'll Do

• Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following strict infection control protocols
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and dental procedures
• Take and develop X-rays (if certified) and maintain accurate patient records
• Support front desk operations when needed, including scheduling and patient communication
• Contribute to a positive, patient-focused clinic environment

What You'll Bring to the Role

• Certification as a Dental Assistant with BCCOHP
• Dental assisting experience is preferred, but motivated individuals willing to learn are welcome
• Experience with Tracker and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) is considered an asset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
