Job summary

OpenRoad Auto Group's Newmarket service dealership is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to maintain and repair customer vehicles, diagnose issues, and perform safety inspections. The role emphasizes learning Toyota standards and delivering high-quality service in a team environment.

Ideal candidates hold a 310S license, with Red Seal as an asset, and possess Toyota experience along with a valid G license. Comprehensive training and career growth are core to this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Valid 310S Automotive Service Technician licence; Red Seal certification is considered an asset.
• Toyota Technician experience is preferred; familiarity with Toyota standards is beneficial.
• A valid G class license with a clean driver's abstract.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures; proficiency with diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and service customer vehicles to ensure safety and satisfaction.
• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform required repairs.
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Provide written, prioritized quotes for additional work.
• Explain procedures and repairs to the Service Advisor.
• Perform road tests and safety inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness of workspace and tools.
• Complete technical training per Toyota standards.

ROLE &RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Workattentively in maintaining, repairing, and servicing customer vehicles toensure safety and customer satisfaction as well as overall departmentsuccess;
• Performvehicle maintenance and repairs;
• Diagnosethe source of any malfunctions and perform required repairs;
• Examinevehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required;
• Providewritten, prioritized quotes for necessary additional work;
• Explainprocedures and repairs directly to the Service Advisor;
• Performroad tests and safety inspections;
• Maintainthe cleanliness of personal and team workspaces;
• Completetechnical training as per Toyota standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Valid310S Automotive Service Technician licence; Red Seal certification isconsidered an asset.
• ToyotaTechnician experience is preferred;
• Avalid G class license with a clean driver's abstract;
• Theability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures andspecifications;
• Theability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
• Theability to work individually and as part of a team;
• Haveup-to-date knowledge of automotive parts and their functions;
• Theability to effectively communicate automotive issues clearly;
• Possessa high level of integrity and work ethic.
