Bayview Group in Bathurst, New Brunswick, is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment/Truck & Trailer Technician. The role includes diagnosing and repairing heavy trucks, replacing parts, and performing preventive maintenance. A block 3 completion and a college certification are required, with a clean driver’s license and references.

Benefits and signing bonus for Red Seal candidates are offered. Flexible shifts are available, including 5/8, 4/10, and 3/13.5-hour days.

Competenze

• Completion of a College certification for Truck & Transport OR Heavy Equipment Service Technician - MINIMUM BLOCK 3 COMPLETION.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, or per safety standards.
• Clean driver's abstract and criminal reference check.
• Basic computer skills with Windows-based software.
• Minimum 4 years experience in a service environment.

Mansioni

• Repair and diagnose medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including engines, power trains, electrical, steering, electronics, brakes and suspension.
• Identify parts required for repair of disassembled units.
• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
• Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair orders.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions or verify repair resolution.
• Complete technical reports from manufacturers accurately and timely.
• Be available to work the After-hours Service calls for emergencies.
• Work in a team environment and maintain a professional, cooperative attitude.
• Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to company policies.

• 5 days 8 hours per day
• 4 days 10 hours per day
• 3 days 13.50 hours per day

Signing Bonus available for Red Seal Certified Heavy Equipment/Truck & Trailer Technicians. Also, completion of Block 4 working on Red Seal Certification. To be eligible for the bonus program resumes must be sent directly to Bayview's job ads.

Key Responsibilities for a Technician:

• Demonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including but not limited to engines, power trains, electrical systems, steering systems, electronics, brake systems and suspension systems
• Identify and determine parts required for repair of disassembled units.
• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services
• Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or verify repair resolution.
• Complete technical reports from different manufacturers, in a timely accurate manner.
• Available to workcovering the After-hours Service call for emergencies.
• Ability to work in a team environment and present themselves in a professional manner with a positive cooperative attitude.
• Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Completion of a College certification for Truck & Transport OR Heavy Equipment Service Technician- MINIMUM BLOCK 3 COMPLETION
• Ability to lift and move a maximum 50 lbs., (or in accordance with provincial workplace health & safety standards)
• Willing and able to continue training.
• Clean Driver’s abstract and Criminal Reference check
• Basic computer skills with the ability to work in Windows based software.
• Minimum 4 years experience in a Service environment.
