Job summary

UPS is hiring a Licensed Automotive Service Technician in Mississauga to maintain and repair UPS diesel, propane, CNG and gasoline vehicles, including delivery trucks, trailers, and on-road tractors. You will perform diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electronics and engines, while adhering to UPS appearance guidelines and safety standards.

The role requires flexibility for evening/night shifts and a pre-employment road test.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Red Seal 310S or 310T.
• Must have essential trade tools and equipment.
• Willing to work evening and/or night shifts.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills.
• Must pass a pre-employment road test.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain UPS diesel, propane, CNG and gasoline vehicles.
• Repair and maintain various systems including hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electronics, and engines.
• Inspect and service delivery vehicles and trailers as needed.

Job description

UPS has released a notification in which they’re inviting candidates for the post of Licensed Automotive Service Technician. Candidates need to realise the tasks and obligations, and put forth their supreme effort. They will manage a diverse range of equipment as well as delivery vehicles, heavy duty machinery, on road tractors, and trailers from a variety of manufacturers. They are accountable for operating/testing company vehicles within the UPS facilities & on public roads.

• Candidates will repair and maintain/repair various systems including hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electronics, and engines. This position performs other tasks as demanded.
• They are responsible for repairing & inspecting and maintaining UPS diesel, propane, CNG and gasoline vehicles in a timely and regular manner.

Job requirement

• Candidates are willing to work evening and/or night shifts.
• They are able to work in a fast-paced work domain.
• They must have possession of a valid Red Seal 310S or 310T.
• They must have possession of essential trade tools and equipment.
• They must have strong organisational skills.
• They must have strong troubleshooting skills.
• They must pass a pre-employment road test.

Work setting

• Candidates should be mainly indoors (in a warehouse or shop), occasionally working outdoors.
• They supported being exposed to hot/cold temperatures when working outdoors.
• They must wear a UPS Auto Mechanic uniform and adhere to the company’s Appearance Guidelines.
