Job summary

CSN Collision in the Kitchener-Waterloo region is seeking a Licensed Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to original structural integrity, function, and appearance. The role requires attention to detail, multi-tasking, and adherence to OEM procedures.

The technician will review work orders, assess collision damage, perform frame and body repairs, weld, dismantle and replace parts, and ensure proper post-repair inspection and test drive. Must have 3+ years of experience and own tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years auto body repair experience.
• Red Seal License 310B or enrolled in apprenticeship.
• I-CAR and OEM certifications preferred.
• Valid driver's license and own tools.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and repair cost estimates and plan work to be performed.
• Thoroughly examine collision damage and verify exterior body parts and power accessories.
• Perform structural and complete body repairs: front end, doors, frame, and underbody components.
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody equipment; dent repair with hammers and blocks.
• Welding on vehicles with MIG welders and compression spot welders.
• Dismantle damaged areas, replace panels, windows, windshields and sunroof as needed.
• File, grind and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
• Follow OEM procedures using available data and repair guidelines.
• Inspect repaired vehicles and conduct test drives for proper handling.
• Read and understand repair estimates and repair procedures.
