Job summary

City of Edmonton seeks a friendly Student Page to assist in shelving and helping customers at Edmonton Public Library. You will shelve, move and locate library items, ensuring shelves are tidy and items are easy to find.

The role targets youth aged 15–17 with a Grade 9 completion and currently enrolled in high school. Evening/weekend shifts are common, with a pay rate of $16.32–$18.01 per hour, and flexible casual part-time scheduling.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Grade 9 and currently attending or enrolled in Grade 10, 11 or 12.
• Youth 15 - 17 years old.
• Preference will be given to applicants who have worked or volunteered in a library.

Responsibilities

• Shelve, move and search for library items to ensure materials are on shelves.
• Direct customers to items and provide good customer service.
• Contribute positively and work effectively within a team environment.
