Job summary

Canada Post is an exciting place to work, offering a temporary, on-call delivery agent role in Winnipeg. You’ll be the face of Canada Post in your community, delivering mail and parcels to customers on your route while working outdoors year-round.

Prerequisites include a valid driver’s licence, the ability to lift heavy items, and proficiency in English and/or French. This role is on-call, with opportunities for permanent positions as noted in the company information.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years.
• Ability to lift mail items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly.
• Ability to work in all types of weather.
• On-call availability.
• Able to read, write and speak English and/or French.
• Experience in customer service.
• Experience delivering or working as a driver is a plus.

Responsibilities

• You’ll start your day in the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries.
• You’ll load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle.
• You’ll spend most of your day outside, delivering mail and packages by foot or by vehicle to customers on your route.
• You’ll return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages for later delivery.
