Job summary

Canada Post is seeking a temporary, on-call delivery agent in Windsor, Ontario. You’ll be the face of Canada Post, delivering mail and parcels to customers on your route, outdoors year-round.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lb, and the capacity to work in all weather. You must be able to read/write English and/or French and be available on-call; training is provided with potential for permanent employment.

Qualifications

• The role requires customer service experience or strong interpersonal skills.
• Must hold a valid Class 5 or Class G driver's license with a safe driving record for at least 3 years.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in all weather conditions.
• On-call availability is required and English and/or French literacy is needed.

Responsibilities

• You’ll start your day at the depot sorting and preparing deliveries.
• You’ll load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle.
• You’ll spend most of the day outside delivering mail and parcels on your route.
• You’ll return to the depot to unload and prepare for the next day.

Job Responsibilities

• You’ll start your day in the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries
• You’ll load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle

• You’ll return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages for later delivery

Qualifications

What must you have?

• A valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver's abstract required)
• The physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
• The ability to work in all types of weather
• The availability to be on-call
• The ability to read, write and speak English and/or French
