Job summary

Long & McQuade Musical Instruments in St. John's, NL is seeking a Lessons Teacher to work as an independent contractor. You will teach drums and other instruments at in-store Lesson Centres and provide engaging, structured lessons to students of all ages.

The role requires teaching experience, a music degree or diploma (or equivalent), and solid knowledge of pedagogy and curriculum delivery. Availability includes weekdays, weeknights and weekends, with lessons conducted on-site.

Qualifications

• A music degree or diploma from a recognized University or College.
• Minimum Grade 8 RCM with Grade 2 Rudiments.
• Professional equivalency accepted.
• Teaching experience with all ages required.
• Knowledge of standard teaching methods and curriculum required.

Responsibilities

• Suitable candidates must have at least one of the following:
• a music degree or diploma from a recognized University or College

• Knowledge and application of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum in the private or group lesson situation is required
