Job summary

Long & McQuade Musical Instruments in Bowmanville, ON, is seeking a part-time violin lessons teacher to join our independent contractor network. The role supports on-site Lesson Centres offering piano, guitar, bass, drums, woodwinds, brass, strings and voice.

The successful candidate will hold a music degree or diploma (or equivalent), with teaching experience across ages and a solid grasp of standard methods and curricula used in private or group lessons.

Qualifications

• Must have a music degree or diploma from a recognized University or College.
• Minimum Grade 8 RCM with Grade 2 Rudiments.
• Professional equivalency accepted.
• Must have previous teaching experience with all ages of students.
• Knowledge and application of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach violin lessons to students of varying ages.
• Provide in-person violin instruction at the Bowmanville location.
• Follow approved lesson curricula and monitor student progress.
• Coordinate scheduling with Lesson Centre staff and ensure timely communication.
