Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a risk management professional to contribute to the governance and control design for regulatory programs across multiple risk types. The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, data reporting, and the development of risk management strategies to ensure compliance within the bank’s risk appetite.

You will support 1LOD LOB risk programs, track regulatory requirements, and help implement changes to policies and procedures in line with governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• Typically between 3–5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports the design, development, automation, and coordination of evidence based controls across multiple risk areas.
• Builds awareness, knowledge, and skills and provides communication, practical tools and ongoing support to promote risk management culture.
• Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
• Tracks exception/exemption requests and corresponding approvals.
• Supports the design and implementation of 1LOD risk management programs and related policies, standards, and controls.
• Interprets and operationalizes regulatory frameworks across the LOB/jurisdiction; ensures business operates within risk appetite.
