What you'll do:

In this challenging role, you will provide a variety of legal advice to support Prevost's day-to-day business and operations in North America, primarily in corporate and commercial law, contract review, regulatory compliance, and litigation.

Your responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and opinions in various matters related to Prevost's North American operations with respect to applicable legislation and regulations, as well as internal Volvo Group policies.
• Participate in the review and negotiation of various types of commercial contracts, including product sales contracts, supply contracts, and information technology contracts.
• Advise the company on legal risks, proposing different business options.
• Monitor litigation files entrusted to external lawyers.
• Provide legal support to bidding teams to ensure that tenders run smoothly.
• Advise the company on regulatory compliance issues.
• Prepare, offer, and organize in-house training courses.
• Prepare various reports and presentations requested by the Volvo Group and Prevost's Executive Committee.
• Perform all other related tasks of a legal nature linked to the company's activities.

Who are you?

• Bachelor's degree in law and member of a professional association
• Knowledge of Common Law (an asset)
• Minimum of eight (8) years' relevant experience in commercial law
• Expertise in contractual matters and review of supplier contracts
• Litigation management skills, particularly in product liability (an asset)
• Ability to work independently and efficiently on multiple assignments in a dynamic environment
• Demonstrate a strong spirit of collaboration
• Effective communicator with excellent writing skills.
