We are currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant (LA) in our Employment & Labour Department. The LA will proactively and independently manage the practices of multiple Legal Professionals, providing high-level support to enhance practice efficiency. The ideal candidate will have excellent multi-tasking, administrative, and communication skills, demonstrate initiative, work well in a fast-paced environment, and provide excellent client service. Employment & Labour experience is preferred.
Education and Experience: Completion of a Community College diploma in Office, Legal, or Business Administration plus at least three years of experience in a professional services or legal environment. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Knowledge and Skills: Maintain high discretion and confidentiality; excellent attention to detail; strong written and verbal communication; proficiency in MS Office; organizational and time management skills; ability to adapt to changing priorities; teamwork and initiative; legal procedures knowledge; drafting and proofreading skills.
We currently operate under a hybrid work model, primarily in-office with the flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
