Job summary

Hines is seeking a friendly Leasing Professional - Multifamily in Calgary to join our team and help residents find exceptional homes. You will lead property tours, manage documentation, and collaborate with marketing to sustain occupancy and drive renewals, while delivering outstanding resident experiences at every touchpoint.

This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a willingness to adapt to staffing needs, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service or sales preferred.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with property management software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours for prospective residents and visitors.
• Process documentation such as credit screening, background checks, lease agreements, and move-in packets.
• Inspect apartments prior to occupancy to ensure readiness for move-in.
• Develop marketing plans to sustain occupancy and stay informed about current market conditions.
• Utilize promotional tools and technology to communicate with prospects and generate revenue.
• Aim to achieve revenue and occupancy goals by directing marketing, advertising, and sales activities and coordinating availability of apartments.
• Assist with lease renewal program and communication processes.
• Build relationships with prospective residents to ensure satisfaction and finalize lease decisions.

As a Leasing Professional - Multifamily with Hines, you will be responsible for partnering with the team pertaining to the property’s marketing, advertising, and sales activities. You will also provide resident satisfaction throughout the term of the lease and secure resident lease renewals.

• Conduct property tours to future residents and visitors
• Process documentation such as credit screening, criminal background checks, lease and move in packages and lease signing
• Inspect apartments prior to occupancy and ensure the apartment is in excellent condition prior to move in
• Develop marketing plans with the goal to sustain occupancy as well as staying informed about the current market
• Use and create promotional items and technology to communicate with potential prospects and generate revenue
• Ensure the achievement of the property’s revenue and occupancy goals by directing the marketing, advertising and sales actives as well as ensure the apartments are available for occupancy
• Assist with the lease renewal program and the communication process
• Build relationships with prospective and future residents to ensure satisfaction and finalize decisions to lease and/or renew

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Prior experience in customer service or sales experience preferred
• Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience with property management software preferred; Entrada experience a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Work indoors approximately 95% of the time and outdoors approximately 5% of the time
• Use olfactory, auditory, and visual senses to inspect building and detect emergency alarms
• On occasion, perform physical inspections of the property which may include climbing up and down stairs or accessing restrictive openings
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs
• Though occurrences are rare, be accessible 24 hours a day in case of an emergency and perform on-site operations management during natural disasters
• Transfer properties and work overtime as business needs deem appropriate
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 + leasing incentives and bonuses
