Akelius Residential Property AB is seeking a Leasing Manager in Ottawa to lead marketing, coordinate showings, and lease vacant units while ensuring excellent resident service. The role requires bilingual English/French communication, weekend availability, and strong organizational skills.

The ideal candidate will manage application files, leases, and move-in processes, using Yardi and Excel, with a focus on occupancy and resident retention. A competitive compensation package applies.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years or more of experience in residential leasing.
• Bilingual in English and French required.
• Availability including weekends required.
• High school diploma (DES) or equivalent (GED) required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Creative and an excellent negotiator.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Organizational and administrative skills.
• Experience with Yardi is a plus.

• Be responsible for compiling complete application files, preparing leases, and handling all aspects of the move-in process.

• Stay informed about pricing, products, and incentives offered
• Proactively identify necessary changes based on current trends and market competition.
• Maintain close contact with clients and deliver a compelling final presentation.
• Perform other assigned tasks.

The leasing agent is responsible for leasing apartments and providing exceptional customer service to ensure maximum occupancy and resident retention. The successful candidate will be passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives. He or she must demonstrate a commitment to anticipating and exceeding the expectations of residents and clients.

What we offer:

Full-time permanent position Competitive salary based on experience $50,000 to $55,000 + commissions ($1,000 to $3,000 per month on average) Benefits after the first 3 months:
