The Real Estate Section of Public Works provides a variety of real estate services to government departments, boards, agencies, and commissions, including property services, real estate acquisition and disposal, road investigations, appraisal, survey services, inventory and office relocation, property management for Crown properties, and ownership of 6 Industrial Water Utilities.
The Leasing Coordinator manages all real estate functions within the division, handling a diverse portfolio with high complexity. Responsibilities include supporting program planning, researching leasing materials, coordinating client relationships, and responding to lease-related needs.
A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and one year of related lease administration experience are preferred. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable. Key qualities include decisiveness, analytical skills, attention to detail, teamwork, strong communication, and discretion with sensitive information. Knowledge of lease administration, legal processes, Leasing Management Systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office is advantageous. Experience with government policies and Acts, including the Housing Development Act, is a plus.
We assess candidates through various tools including tests, interviews, and reference checks. Equivalencies such as a 2-year diploma plus three years of experience are considered. This role involves both office and fieldwork, including working in adverse weather, at heights, and in confined spaces. Overtime may be required, especially during emergencies.
Pay Grade: PR 06 - PR 10
Salary Range: $1,924.95 - $2,760.42 Bi-Weekly
