About Us

The Real Estate Section of Public Works provides a variety of real estate services to government departments, boards, agencies, and commissions, including property services, real estate acquisition and disposal, road investigations, appraisal, survey services, inventory and office relocation, property management for Crown properties, and ownership of 6 Industrial Water Utilities.

About Our Opportunity

The Leasing Coordinator manages all real estate functions within the division, handling a diverse portfolio with high complexity. Responsibilities include supporting program planning, researching leasing materials, coordinating client relationships, and responding to lease-related needs.

Primary Accountabilities
  1. Preparing complex legal documents for leasing transactions, analyzing and summarizing real estate files and legal documents for senior management.
  2. Operating and managing technical systems like SAP, Archibus, Ariba, Property online, Leasing Management System, and MS Project to support operations and develop program guidelines, promoting initiatives using current technology.
  3. Developing informational materials for proposals, tenders, RFPs, leasing logs, reports, policies, and manuals for divisional needs.
  4. Monitoring budgets and expenditures, ensuring funds are properly allocated, and producing financial reports.
  5. Providing lease and real estate expertise, working directly with clients, landlords, and service providers, and preparing comprehensive leasing documents based on client needs.
  6. Managing databases related to leasing, facilities planning, rental revenues, and project records, focusing on account management.
Qualifications and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and one year of related lease administration experience are preferred. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable. Key qualities include decisiveness, analytical skills, attention to detail, teamwork, strong communication, and discretion with sensitive information. Knowledge of lease administration, legal processes, Leasing Management Systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office is advantageous. Experience with government policies and Acts, including the Housing Development Act, is a plus.

Additional Information

We assess candidates through various tools including tests, interviews, and reference checks. Equivalencies such as a 2-year diploma plus three years of experience are considered. This role involves both office and fieldwork, including working in adverse weather, at heights, and in confined spaces. Overtime may be required, especially during emergencies.

Pay Grade: PR 06 - PR 10

Salary Range: $1,924.95 - $2,760.42 Bi-Weekly
