Job Opportunity: Leasing Agent

A pioneer in the field of real estate in Montreal, this company is currently looking for several leasing agents. Possibility of hybrid work.

Responsibilities, Tasks, and Activities:

1. Meet with customers at home, office, point of service, or in a home.
2. Manage rental activities including property visits, interviews, document verification, rent calculation, lease signing, and key handover.
3. Assist in housing rental activities such as presentations to the selection committee and property visits.
4. Guide and advise clients on leases, neighborhood selection, housing options, regulations, and government programs.
5. Handle mandatory housing change activities due to disasters, major works, or health reasons, including property visits, stakeholder liaison, lease preparation, and dispute documentation.
6. Visit tenants to facilitate integration, especially for new tenants or those with health or psychosocial needs, and conduct courtesy calls.
7. Maintain updated information on parking and conservatories to facilitate rentals.
8. Conduct checks for unsanitary issues and refer to relevant stakeholders.
9. Update lists for reduced mobility and participate in annual fire drills.
10. Detect unauthorized occupancy and prepare files for the Administrative Housing Tribunal.
11. Collaborate with leasing agents and perform field tasks to support team objectives.
12. Represent the company before relevant tribunals and organizations.
13. Participate in developing procedures, perform administrative tasks, and contribute to organizational projects and committees.
14. Meet with tenant associations and support co-workers.
15. Ensure compliance with building regulations through collaboration with other departments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• DEC in social assistance, social work, administrative techniques, special education, or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in socio-economic assistance or a related administrative role.
• Excellent communication and interviewing skills.
• Proficiency in French and English.
• Basic mathematics knowledge.
• Ability to apply laws and regulations.
