Job summary

M’akola Housing Society (MHS) in Langford, BC, is seeking a Lease up and Occupancy Clerk for a full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. The position reports to the Director of Lease up and Occupancy and starts at 29.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include processing applications, tenant selections, subsidy calculations, and coordinating maintenance requests, while delivering prompt and accurate service to applicants, tenants, and staff.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of office experience and at least 1 year providing excellent customer service and detailed information to the public
  • Post-secondary courses in office or business administration
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act or willingness to learn
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience providing service in a Contact Centre environment an asset
  • Experience working in and with the Indigenous community would be an asset

M’akola Housing Society - Langford, BC

Position Summary

M’akola’s Lease up and Occupancy Team provides centralized services to applicants, tenants, and property management staff for all aspects of applications processing, tenant selections, subsidy calculations, and maintenance requests, and will work cooperatively in a team environment to provide prompt, thorough, and accurate service. The Lease up and Occupancy Clerk is assigned work as required based on changing business needs and reports directly to the Director of Lease up and Occupancy.

This position is full-time, permanent, Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, based out of the Admin & Finance Office in Langford. This position starts at $29.00 per hour.
