RBC Equipment Finance in Burlington, Canada, is seeking a Lease Underwriting Associate to identify and manage risk in equipment financing transactions. You will partner with Equipment Financing Specialists and internal teams to deliver innovative lease solutions and support RBC’s One RBC ethos.

As a Lease Underwriting Associate, you’ll play a critical role in RBC Equipment Finance’s growth by identifying and managing risks associated with equipment financing transactions. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of client service and risk management, collaborating with Equipment Financing Specialists, internal partners, and RBC Enterprise Groups to deliver innovative lease solutions. You’ll build expertise in lease structures, equipment valuation, and transaction management while contributing to RBC’s One RBC mindset through seamless cross-functional collaboration.
2-4 years in a fast-paced, client-facing office environment
Working knowledge of lease, financing, and ancillary documentation
Good math skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
Sound judgment and risk assessment capabilities
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Excellent customer service skills with proven conflict resolution
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Self-directed learner with strong willingness to develop capabilities
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
