Join to apply for the Learning Specialist role at Federated Co-operatives Limited

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Learning Specialist on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will impact the career development of team members and students across the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS). They will interact with individuals such as CRS scholarship applicants, Commodity Leads, and professionals, helping to build management skills. If you are dependable and responsible, this role might be suitable for you!

This position is primarily remote; however, travel for events and training is required. Candidates across Western Canada are encouraged to apply.

What you’ll do:
  1. Oversee logistics for Commodity Group and Retail Manager Group training, including scheduling, attendance tracking, material preparation, and facilitation support.
  2. Support the Leadership Development Specialist in identifying and implementing training improvements.
  3. Manage early career programs such as Student Development and the CRS Scholarship program.
  4. Assist with the Education Assistance Program through application management, committee coordination, and process improvements.
  5. Contribute to Learning & Development initiatives aligned with organizational strategy and continuous improvement.

You will report to the Leadership Development Specialist and work within a team that values respect, collaboration, innovation, and customer service. You will collaborate with peers in our People & Culture team and stakeholders across FCL.

Who you are:

Seeking a career in Human Resources & Training with:

  • 1-3 years of relevant learning & development experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, or related fields (or relevant experience).
  • Experience in program coordination, including planning, implementation, evaluation, and administration.
