Job summary

School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay) seeks a Learning Services Teacher for Grades 7-9 to join Laurie Middle School in Cranbrook, BC. This on-site position is a 0.571 FTE temporary contract running November 23, 2026 through June 25, 2027.

Applicants should hold BC Teacher Certification and a degree or certification in Learning Services/Inclusive Education. Preference given to candidates with relevant teaching experience and credentials aligned with the posting requirements.

Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $40,193 to $67,726, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Job Summary:

Learning Services Teacher - Grades 7-9

0.571 FTE temporary contract, starting November 23, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process to June 25, 2027.

• Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience at the Intermediate level.
• Must have a degree/diploma or certification in Learning Services/Inclusive Education.

Please note that all work will be on site.
