Job summary

St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Secondary School, a CISVA member in the Vancouver area, seeks a Learning Resource Coordinator to lead IEP development, oversee RTI implementation, and ensure compliance with educational policies.

The role is full-time for a one-year term with potential renewal, based in the Greater Vancouver area. The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators, plan targeted PD, monitor student progress, and manage program budgets and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven leadership in a school setting, specifically Learning Resource.
• Strong knowledge of special education policies and practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation and monitoring of IEPs for students with learning needs.
• Ensure compliance with provincial and CISVA special education regulations and policies.
• Apply RTI framework to identify at-risk students and coordinate services.
• Collaborate with teachers, counsellors and support staff to address student needs.
• Plan and deliver professional development on special education and inclusive practices.
• Coordinate evaluations for eligibility and communicate with families.
• Maintain records for IEPs, assessments and services; analyze data for program improvements.
• Develop and manage the special education budget and resources.
• Engage with CISVA leadership and community partners to enhance services.
