Join to apply for the Learning Experience Designer (Hybrid) role at Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB)

This is a temporary assignment, open to all offices, up to 6 months, with a salary grade of 213 starting from $94,583.02.

Job Summary

As a learning experience design and development expert, collaborate with clients, stakeholders and colleagues to plan, design and develop learner-centric learning experiences that enable continuous learning. This role involves using design thinking, education principles, and up-to-date adult learning strategies to create engaging learning solutions that increase retention, develop capabilities, and support business outcomes.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in designing learning strategies, establishing relationships with stakeholders, and advising on learning modalities and technologies.
  • Conduct needs analysis using various methods, create learning objectives, and translate content into effective learning products.
  • Design and develop cohesive learning experiences using various media and methods, including eLearning, instructor-led training, social learning, and mobile applications.
  • Evaluate learning products and experiences through measurement and assessment plans, and collaborate on post-learning evaluations.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of learning solutions, including facilitating training and troubleshooting technologies.
  • Ensure content is current and aligned with business needs, and champion inclusive design practices adhering to accessibility standards.
  • Act as a change agent, supporting WSIB initiatives through high-quality learning experience design.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • University completion at undergraduate level with specialization in education, adult education, instructional design, or related fields, or a diploma / certificate in workplace learning or UX design.
  • Five years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or related areas.
