Job description

Position Title: Learning & Development Manager, Global Transformation

Position Type: Regular - Full-Time

Position Location: Toronto HQ

Requisition ID:36674

At McCain, we believe in meaningful technology – using digital innovation not just for progress, but to make a global difference. Join a team where innovation drives purpose and technology shapes the future. This is your chance to develop sought-after expertise, work on high-impact projects, and create solutions that truly matter. If you're ready to push boundaries, tackle purposeful challenges, and build a career that makes a difference, we want you on our team.

We are seeking a decisive, adaptive, and behavior-focused Training Leader to drive readiness and capability-building for our global digital transformation. You won't just be delivering training—you’ll be creating the conditions for people to adopt new ways of working.

You’ll function as a product owner for training: understanding real user needs, building repeatable learning systems, and enforcing standards with our consulting partners. In a fast-moving, often messy environment, you will bring clarity, execution, and accountability to an effort that touches every region and function.

Accountabilities
  • Own the global training strategy and execution plan for the digital transformation program, encompassing an ERP upgrade and a new global sales and operations planning system.

  • Act as the training product owner—translate user needs into high-impact, repeatable training experiences.

  • Work closely with business transformation leads to extract process insight and translate it into practical learning.

  • Partner with technical teams to ensure alignment between system design and training delivery.

  • Hold consulting partners accountable for delivering high-quality, relevant training content—and rapidly iterate when quality misses the mark.

  • Work with corporate L&D to embed training into enterprise platforms, tools, and the learning culture.

  • Design and roll out a scalable Train-the-Trainer model, ensuring global consistency with local flexibility.

  • Measure training effectiveness through testing, behavior adoption, and feedback loops; refine accordingly.

  • Simplify complexity—bring order to chaos in high-pressure, ambiguous environments and drive execution.

  • Serve as a visible leader across teams to champion learning and user readiness.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5–7 years in transformation training, learning & development, or change enablement roles, ideally within large-scale ERP or supply chain system implementations.

  • Proven experience delivering training within global digital transformation programs.

  • Strong track record of managing external partners and consulting firms for training deliverables.

  • Ability to design for learning and behavior change—not just training events.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across business, IT, and transformation functions.

  • Confident in ambiguous, complex, and fast-paced environments—comfortable making decisions without perfect information.

  • Highly organized project driver who can prioritize, sequence, and deliver multiple training streams on deadline.

  • Experience with Train-the-Trainer models and measuring training effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with adult learning theory, behavioral design, or user-centered training development.

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Blue Yonder, and digital learning platforms like SuccessFactors, WalkMe, etc.

  • Background in business transformation, organizational change management, or lean process improvement.
