Job summary

TJX Canada is seeking a Learning & Development Design Specialist to craft engaging learning experiences across we offer instructor-led, eLearning, and visual learning materials in collaboration with teams across the company. You will influence quality and consistency of learning products to drive performance and growth.

The role involves designing guides, using mixed media, applying graphic design techniques, and managing small to mid-size projects with timelines and SMEs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relative work experience; Instructional Design, e-learning design, facilitation experience is an asset.
• Adult Learning or Instructional Design certificate/program completion.
• Knowledge of Articulate (Storyline and/or Rise).
• Graphics design software (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Work with business partners to identify learning needs and audience development level; research materials and partner with SMEs to align on outcomes.
• Design participant guides, leader guides, and job aids.
• Create mixed media such as video and animation to enhance content and drive learner engagement.
• Apply graphic design techniques and tools, such as InDesign to update design documents and templates for programs.
• Use project charters and milestones to schedule small to mid-size projects and identify timing concerns.

What You’ll Do

• Works with business partners to identify and assess client learning needs and audience development level; researches written materials and partners with subject matter experts to ensure alignment on learning content and desired learning outcomes.
• Designs and develops comprehensive participant guides, leader guides, and job aids. Creates and uses mixed media such as video and animation to enhance content and drive learner engagement.
• Applies graphic design techniques and tools, such as InDesign to update existing design documents and templates to integrate content for programs.
• Uses project management tools such as project charters and milestones/Gantt charts to contribute to the organization and timelines of small to mid-size projects, while proactively identifying timing concerns, and recommending solutions to achieve the desired training outcomes.

About You
