A Snapshot of Your Day

Trench Canada is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lean Specialist to join our team to support the deployment of Lean Initiatives launched and process improvement and efficiency enhancement at Trench Canada, Instrument Transformers division. The ideal candidate for this role should have strong analytical skills, the ability to work and understand the basics of lean methodologies and process improvement tools, as well as the ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deploy and lean initiatives.

Your Tasks:

  • Implement lean methodologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency on office and shopfloor projects.
  • Provide structure and methodology for improvement projects, focusing on achieving business goals and reducing bottlenecks.
  • Analyze data to suggest process improvements and measure their impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose problem root causes and optimize processes.
  • Monitor and report on production key performance indicators.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to drive lean culture within the organization.
  • Provide expert guidance on lean tools and techniques.
  • Coordinate 5S Program and support production team on implement defined actions.
  • Responsible for SAP production routing and times, ensuring data is accurate and updated.
  • Develop and deploy training programs on lean principles for staff.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in lean management or process improvement.
  • Proficiency in SAP software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Power BI and Visio.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification in lean methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma) is an asset.
