Job summary

AGI - Ag Growth International in Rosenort, MB seeks a Continuous Improvement Co-op Student for a winter term. The role will support Lean initiatives across a 200,000 ft2 facility including weld, painting, assembly, and shipping areas.

You will conduct time studies, process observations, and root-cause investigations, collaborating with production teams to reduce waste and standardize processes. This is an hands-on co-op focused on real-world improvements in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of university education in engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to work independently and in teams.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and improvement methods (5S, Kanban, VSM).

Responsibilities

• Support Continuous Improvement and Engineering initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
• Partner with production employees, supervisors, and support departments to identify improvement opportunities and eliminate waste from manufacturing processes.
• Conduct process observations, workflow assessments, and time studies to identify inefficiencies.
• Assist in root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, and A3 Problem Solving.
• Develop and maintain standard work documentation, visual management systems, and work instructions to improve process consistency and employee training.
• Participate in waste reduction, process standardization, and operational excellence initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Follow AGI’s Code of Business Ethics and related compliance policies
• Other duties as assigned.
