Finning Canada is hiring a Leadhand for the Saskatoon branch. You will lead field and shop activities, troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment, and mentor team members while upholding Finning’s safety standards.

The role requires CAT equipment experience, strong communication, and leadership capabilities. The position is based in Saskatoon with a Monday–Friday schedule and full benefits package.

Formación

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification (Red Seal preferred).
• Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract.

Responsabilidades

We are looking to hire a Leadhand to join the field team at our busy Saskatoon branch!

As a Leadhand, you are responsible for a variety of troubleshooting and repair duties, as well as providing leadership and instruction to others in their service and repair of Caterpillar equipment.

• Wage: $52.86 - $54.15 / hr
• Bonus Target: 4%
• Paid Time Off in Year 1: Vacation, sick and 7 days flex time

Job Description

Major Job Functions

• Model the way for a safe, environmentally sound, and healthy work behaviors in support of Finning’s Safety Policies, Programs, and initiatives
• Collaborate with the stakeholders at the Branch and in the Field to ensure the successful execution of operations
• Coordinate and schedule work orders and repairs, provide warranty decisions and administer claims as appropriate
• Lead effective resolutions for customer and supplier issues to achieve high customer loyalty
• Motivate and develop team members to achieve personal and team performance objectives
• Provide guidance to the teams on Finning policies
• Review and monitor warranty statements to ensure business objectives are achieved
• Manage and execute training requirements, performance evaluations and coaching sessions for all direct reports
• Perform regular service troubleshooting and repair duties as assigned by the Supervisor in a timely fashion and on customer site.
• Provide technical expertise on the shop floor and field operations.
• Provide feedback to Supervisor concerning any issues identified by team members as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification (Red Seal is preferred)
• Class 5 drivers license and a successful drivers abstract
• Previous CAT general line experience including troubleshooting (5 year minimum).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent planning and organizational skillsComputer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Applications, SIS and Caterpillar Corporate Web Navigation
• Completion of Finning S-Levels, Failure Analysis, Machine Electronic Controls, or Tier 4 training would be considered an asset
• Previous experience with Caterpillar equipment/engines would be considered an asset.
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset.

• This position is based in Saskatoon, on a Monday to Friday shift.
• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
