The Leadership Management Trainee Engineering (LMT-E) program ensures that new trainees develop the necessary leadership, industry knowledge, and technical skills to succeed as production supervisors. This intensive seven-month program includes classroom instruction, online training, workshops, projects, and on-the-job training, including an 11-week manager conductor training course and 16 weeks focused on overseeing safe operations, capital projects, and infrastructure improvements. Upon completion, trainees are placed as production supervisors within CPKC’s network.
Training will predominantly take place in Calgary, Alberta, with some field training across various locations. Relocation may be required based on organizational needs. Pre-employment medical, drug testing, and background checks are mandatory. Candidates must pass a management conductor program to qualify as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
