Job summary

Bombardier Dorval is seeking a Leader, Material Logistics (Evening Shift) to supervise a team of roughly 10 in the Dorval plant. You will monitor shortages, coordinate with internal teams and suppliers, and manage daily operations to ensure timely production and quality.

The role requires a logistics background and strong planning, with French language as a major asset. You’ll be part of a comprehensive Benefits Program and work in an environment that values teamwork, development, and continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in administration or Operations Management or 5 years of logistics experience.
• Strong planning and organizational skills are required.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to work with multiple departments and teams.
• Bilingual in French is a major asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise the activities of a team of about 10 employees.
• Monitor shortages and resolve them with Internal Logistics and Suppliers teams.
• Ensure visibility to production on shortage resolutions.
• Manage budgets of the group and ensure product quality.
• Plan daily operations and follow up on them.
• Report and analyze productivity, quality, health and safety indicators.

Leader Material Logistics - Evening shift

• Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 10 employees.
• Monitor the purchased and manufactured shortages and resolving them with the Internal Logistics and Suppliers team.
• Ensure visibility to the production team on the resolution of shortages.
• Manage the budgets of your group and ensure the quality of the product.
• Plan the daily operations of your sector and follow up on them.
• Report and analyze various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
• Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.
• Maintain communication with other departments for any issues related to your sector.
• Ensure continuous improvement using operational excellence concepts and the problem-solving process.
• Ensure the training of your employees, evaluate their performance and their progress.
• Promote a work environment based on teamwork and open communication.
• Exercise your leadership while respecting the vision and values of Bombardier.
• Coach your team to develop their talent in the organization.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a bachelor’s degree in administration, Operations Management or five (5) years of relevant experience in Logistics.
• You have strong planning and organizational skills to ensure results are achieved.
• You demonstrate managerial courage when managing personnel.
• You have interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, all levels of management team, and other departments.
• You are motivated by a stimulating and fast changing environment.
• You are proficient in French (bilingualism a major asset).
